Reflection: God sent his only Son to die for us, so that we may inherit eternal life. By coming to the earth, Jesus took on our fleshly nature and was tempted just as we are. He had no secret stash of power to resist or avoid temptation. He, however did not once yield to temptation and although He sometimes felt lonely, and forsaken by His Father He trusted the Father that He would do whatever was asked of Him. By being in such a position and being tested by all points, Jesus is the only one that can truly relate to us like no other human being can, so it is our duty to seek Him in our time of need, as He only can provide us with true peace and strength.
